The other day I was walking through the streets of Raval and I stumbled upon this incredible artisan bakery called Pa de Kilo I could not resist to try out 🥖✨. This bakery was founded by Oswaldo Brito, ex-professor at the Hoffman culinary school and originally from Venezuela. It has quickly become a local favorite thanks to its freshly baked loaves and welcoming atmosphere. They stick to the classics but deliver with style — think fresh, authentic sourdough and perfectly golden focaccia.
Their sourdough is a standout—crispy on the outside with a soft, airy center that feels like a warm hug on a chilly morning. Personally, I can’t resist their olive-studded focaccia. It’s salty, herby, and just the right kind of indulgent. Pair it with a coffee ☕, and you’re golden.
The vibe is laid-back and charming, perfect for grabbing a loaf to-go or taking a moment to unwind from the energy of Raval’s bustling streets. They also have a little deli shop with local products including kombuchas, sodas, natural wines, marmalades and more! Pa de Kilo has that effortless, welcoming feeling that keeps locals coming back for their daily bread fix. Quality ingredients, passion for tradition, and a little bit of Barcelona’s heart wrapped into every bite. 😊
