Le Cucine Mandarosso

As an Italian in this vibrant city of art and sunshine, I didn’t expect to feel so… at home. Until I came across Le Cucine Mandarosso! This little gem The restaurant opened in February 2008, putting together grandmas’s, friends’, and mums’ friends’ very best recipes. 📓❤️

Walking in, you’re greeted by a 70’s kitchen-like allure — like the name “Le Cucine”, in Italian “the kitchens”, suggests —, with a rustic touch, that whispers — You can relax: you’re in good hands! 😌

The menu is a love letter to Italian cucina, and let me tell you. The Lasagna Classica stole my heart, layer after layer of extremely flavourful mince meat tomato sauce, and creamy béchamel. I’ll make sure I’ll check out their fresh homemade fettuccine all’uovo next time I go.🍝🔥

Do not leave without trying the desserts of grandpa Crescenzo, once a pastry chef in Avellino. Get delighted with a slice of pastiera napoletana or of caprese cake! 🍰

So if you’re craving a taste of Italy during your stay in Barcelona, Mandarosso is the place to be. Arrive hungry, leave happy. 😋
